Today has been an especially busy day for me already. The General Chair, Chanel, and I each got to speak on the 104.1 WLBC about Homecoming with Steve Lindell. We then went to the Faculty/Staff Breakfast and ate some really good food, thanks to the Ball State Federal Credit Union! The breakfast was a really good opportunity for the committee and myself to socialize with the professors and other faculty at Ball State. It's also a really good way for all of us to say thanks for all the hard work they do.
As I said earlier, I am currently helping at the Blood Drive, which was put together with the help from the American Red Cross. All day, students, faculty and the Muncie community have been donating blood and saving lives.
Next is the Residence Halls Dinner starting at 5 p.m. in Elliott, Noyer and LaFollette Halls. I am very excited for this because I can't wait to eat some good food! Meals are free with a dining swipe or $7.55 for all of you off-campus students. Everyone will also get an awesome "Rock the Red" nalgene water bottle!
The highlight and ending to Tuesday of Homecoming Week is the Student Scholarship Talent Search in Emens Auditorium! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. There were around 70 acts who auditioned and it was narrowed down to 20, so we have the cream of the crop for tonight's entertainment. There is will be $4,500 worth of scholarships to give away and one lucky person in attendance will have the chance to win a FREE IPOD NANO!
I hope everyone comes out to the great week of events we have planned and be sure to come out to Talent Search tonight! It will be a great show!!
