“It’s a Bird … It’s a Game … It’s Homecoming!” After many meetings, the committee finally chose a superhero theme for this year’s homecoming at Ball State. I remember as a kid my parents freaking out because I wouldn’t get out of my Batman outfit for a straight week. They should have known better than to let me be him for Halloween. Who was your favorite superhero? Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Flash, Iron Man, The Hulk? I can’t wait to see what people have to wear once homecoming week starts, I may have to bring out the old Batman costume!
As for school spirit, it is already at a high because the Ball State football team won their first game at Lucas Oil Stadium last weekend. We play Temple this year for Homecoming 2011, and it is bound to be one to remember. It will be a great time to meet new people and make new memories with friends. We are going to have great sponsors getting involved as well to give people awesome free items and deals throughout homecoming week. I think everyone should thoroughly enjoy those.
I’m looking forward to seeing all the fellow Cardinals at the amazing events we have planned. I know everyone is going to have fun and hopefully experience something new this year that they haven’t in the past. Let’s get campus chirping extra loud for this years homecoming!
