Put Your Superhero Face on for Opening Day Games!

In just four short weeks, we will be kicking off Ball State Homecoming 2011! What a great opportunity to have a good time with friends, and make lasting memories. Homecoming is my favorite time in the fall semester, because it is a great way to show school spirit, and there is something for everyone! Whether it may be showing your dance moves at the dance party, or giving blood, there are many different ways to get involved!

We are really excited to be kicking off homecoming week with the Opening Day Games. Some of our favorite games will be making a comeback! We are also introducing a dance party this year! The dance party will include free glow sticks, light show and dance screen!

This year’s event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. The first 500 people to attend the games will receive a free ice cream treat!

Opening Day Games will begin with a pep session led by the Ball State Drumline, Cheerleaders and Code Red Dancers. First year football coach, Pete Lembo, will pump up the crowd with encouragement and excitement about the big game on Saturday!

Then the games begin! This year’s games include root beer pong, tug-o-war and corn hole! During the games, DJ Heartbreaker will provide entertainment!

After the games conclude, make sure to stick around for the dance party beginning around 8:30 p.m.! The first 500 attendees will receive a free glow stick!

We hope to see everyone there to kick off Ball State Homecoming 2011!

It’s a Bird… It’s a Game… It’s Homecoming!
